Self Sustainable Chair v.2

As part of my internship for JooYoun Paek in the Spring of 2009 I designed and built the v2 of her Self Sustainable Chair.

The SSC v2 is a dress that augments itself into a chair as you walk. It has a cape that becomes the back of the chair, and a double layered skirt that converts into the arms. The shoes are integrated with pumps so as you walk you inflate the dress, creating a place to sit down for a while.
